Mindless Blogging of Trips

Over the Labour Day weekend, friend and I went to Glen Aulin in Yosemite for a short backpacking trip. Hell, I never believed it was so brutal to carry thirty-something pounds on the back and hiking six miles. The trail going into Glen Aulin is vicious. It was all desend at the beginning until the last one-and-a-half miles, which is up and down many times on rocks. Yikes! my back hurts. We had a really good time swimming near California Fall, which is about 1.5
miles from Glen Aulin's High Sierra Camp. A couple of weeks back the newspaper had an article on Glen Aulin where it
is THE PLACE to run into bears. Thank goodness we didn't see any. As much as I like bear bear dolls, I have absolutely no interest in seeing a real live one :P
I went on a Vancouver trip in late July, which I didn't write about. It was a short weekend trip for a friend's wedding. Although the air ticket was purchased at a relatively high price. But after getting some good deals out of the trip, it was pretty worthwhile. Of course, it was also a get-togethering with good old friends. Nothing beats that!
