Views of Sunrise

The magnificant views of Yosemite are what brought us back to it every year. Every time we would discover something new. Sunrise is our third high Sierra camp, after May Lake and Glen Aulin. Sunrise is a popular site/trail. As we hiked in and out, we met many day hikers. Here are some pictures of the views along the hike and the lake.

Trees Along Trail to Sunrise Lake

On our hike to sunrise lake, I found some interesting trees. Do you recognize any of them? Lots of trees are burnt. Were they struck by lightening? Were they burnt by a control fire? Burnt by a wildfire? What determine the fate of a tree?
